Clean water is essential for human life, yet two trillion people live without access to it. Nocoli has developed a new technology that can detect bacteria in water, without lab facilities. They asked us to create a brand identity that stands out from other companies while also being playful and personal.
Nocoli had a clear vision of how their brand should be represented. They wanted "bright and kind" colors as well as hand-drawn icons. We took this to heart and created a color palette based on their wishes and added a dark blue for contrast. In addition, we created a strong and recognizable logo as well as an extensive icon library that balances a hand-drawn impression while remaining coherent and consistent in theme.
The goal of this project was to create an identity that satisfied the client and matched their vision. We wanted to give Nocoli a face in the market and create a simple identity for the customer to maintain.
Working with customers with strong visions and opinions has benefits and drawbacks. We needed to communicate with them regularly to ensure we were on the right track and understood their vision. It was challenging to understand each other at first. Still, I've learned to trust my knowledge and sometimes argue harder for my design choices.
